Carlos Cuevas has joined the Evans School this Winter Quarter as a Senior Lecturer - Distinguished Practitioner in international development. Cuevas comes to us from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, where he was Deputy Director in Global Development, Financial Services for the Poor. A specialist in rural finance and microfinance, Cuevas has worked on cooperative finance, development banking, and regulatory and supervisory issues. Prior to the Gates Foundation, Cuevas worked with the World Bank working on lending operations, sector work and technical assistance worldwide. His research interests include agricultural finance, rural development, and technical assistance worldwide.
