Prof. Allard Wins Louis Brownlow Award

Congratulations to Daniel J. Evans Endowed Professor of Social Policy Scott Allard, whose article “State Agencies’ Use of Administrative Data for Improved Practice: Needs, Challenges, and Opportunities,” was named the 2018 winner of the Public Administration Review’s Louis Brownlow Award. The Brownlow Award is presented to the author of the best PAR article by a practitioner or for a practitioner audience for the volume year.

In his own words, “Our goal in this work was to help human service agencies think creatively and strategically about how to build internal data analytic capacity. We also wanted to foster more intentional thinking about effective data partnerships between agencies and external researchers that can address pressing program priorities and client needs.” Congratulations Professor Allard!
