The Daniel J. Evans School of Public Policy & Governance, at the University of Washington, invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor, beginning in Fall 2018 (100% FTE, 9-month appointment, UW Job Class Code: 0113). We are interested in candidates whose scholarship is in one of the following areas: public finance, tax policy, federal budget process and programs, public capital markets, governmental accounting, and financial reporting. Digital Strategiest Intern
Reporting to Chief Digital Officer, the Digital Strategist intern will create and execute various web-based assets including graphics and video for The Evans School. The intern will assist the Digital Communications team in web production by updating existing web pages, and redesigning outdated pages.
The intern will help with video production, photography production, and asset management of the two.
Web calendar management and development as needed.
Student will learn product launch and development in an agile environment; digital asset optimization across various social/email/web channels; how to set and track metrics and analytics of set Key Performance Indicators (KPIs); learn soup to nuts how to strategically conceptualize, create, launch, and iterate web experiences for multiple audiences and users.
The position will learn how to make critical strategic decisions across multiple teams in a fast-paced environment + will have a strong web portfolio with metrics-driven success once the appointment comes to an end. They will gain agile Project Management skills; learn the foundations of building in a Drupal environment; utilize new tools and platforms that will prepare them for any tech-related job in the future; develop the diplomacy and tact needed to navigate various relationships to see a project to completion.
