Digital Financial Services Research Group

Since 2016, the University of Washington’s School of Computer Science and Engineering and Digital Financial Services Research Group have worked cooperatively with EPAR toward improving the efficiency and accessibility of panel survey data to reduce burdens on researchers, and increasing understanding of emerging regulatory and policy trends around consumer protection in digital financial services (DFS) to maximize the potential for advanced DFS research and development to support financial inclusion.

The goal of the Digital Financial Services Research Group is to develop and deploy technological solutions to specific challenges that impede the introduction and wide scale deployment of digital financial services.

EPAR also collaborates with Professor Richard Anderson of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering to develop survey enumeration software Open Data Kit in order to meet the needs of data analysts.
