Ryan Bodanyi is a doctoral graduate of the Evans School of Public Policy and Governance at the University of Washington. His dissertation research explored what cities and counties in the US are doing to mitigate their greenhouse gas emissions, and why, as well as how those efforts influence local finance.

Ryan’s professional experience includes time with the National Wildlife Federation, the Clean Air Task Force, and with Students for Bhopal—an organization that supports the half-million survivors of the world's worst-ever industrial disaster. As the Executive Director of Students for Bhopal from 2003 to 2008, Ryan’s efforts helped the survivors obtain $330 million in additional compensation, access to poison-free drinking water, and better medical care.
