Bio: Hi all! I grew up in southern Maine and called Boston, MA home before moving to Seattle. I earned my BA in International Relations and Economics at Tufts University, and after undergrad worked in fundraising at a global health nonprofit, Partners In Health. I’m passionate about health, food access, and cities, and decided to go back to school to gain the skills I’d need to work on policy change at a more local level. Outside Evans, I enjoy taking in Seattle’s arts and culture and great views (when it’s not raining), and curling up with a good book (when it is).
Why did you choose Evans?: Evans had the best mix of things I was looking for in an MPA program – many specialization options and policy areas I could dive into, a strong core curriculum, and a collaborative and driven group of students, faculty, and staff. Because I’m interested in metropolitan and urban policy, it was important for me to study in new city where I could learn from my surroundings, and Seattle certainly has a lot going on!
