Tucson, AZ

Bio: I was born and raised in the beautiful desert of Tucson, AZ. I moved East to get a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from MIT and ended up at Amazon Prime Air (drone delivery project) as a Research Engineer and Project Manager for a couple of years before switching gears! ;-) I am studying for an MPA to facilitate a change in careers, and prepare me for a long career in public service and the public education system.

Outside of school and work, I am an avid outdoor runner and Scandinavian Folkdancer!

Why did you choose Evans?: I chose Evans because of the passionate student body willing to learn from-- and push-- faculty, administration, local activism, and global setting. I met with Barry Wall two years before I started at Evans and while I was trying to make sense of where I wanted to go next. He connected me with a Student Ambassador, now alumna of Evans, whose willingness to talk further turned my mind to Evans. Full disclosure: a portion of why I chose Evans was because my partner had only just moved to the area and felt he had much to learn and contribute in his first job out of college. Together, we prioritized staying in the area to minimize disruption for his career.
