Bio: My name is Njeri ("Jeri") Thande and I'm from Seattle-ish. I was born in California and have spent most of my time on the west coast. Before coming to Evans, I studied International Relations at Claremont McKenna College. I was initially eager to join a nonprofit or work abroad, but I ended up spending most of my early career in the tech world and at a couple of startups in Brooklyn. As an Evans student, I am a student lead on the Diversity Committee. My areas of interest are: policy & media, equity issues, public-private partnerships, and organizational management.
Why did you chose Evans?: I chose Evans because the MPA program has great value for those interested in public sector leadership (which is all of us, even in our varied capacities and interests). Evans has a great network and alumni who were entering interesting and meaningful careers. I also love being in Seattle because this is where all the action is, and it's home!
