I grew up in Bakersfield, CA, the heart of the agricultural Central Valley. I received my B.A. in Psychology at Yale and am focusing on Social Policy and Nonprofit Management at Evans. Prior to coming to Evans, I did direct service work with nonprofits that motivated me to pursue an MPA to address the root causes of the inequities that I saw families face.
On campus, you’ll find me taking all the courses related to equity, engaged in the Partnership for Community & Diversity, and planning events for Evans Network of Womxn. Outside of Evans, I like exploring Washington’s beauty with Latino Outdoors and frequenting POC-owned businesses.
Why did you choose Evans?: For me, I was really impressed with the amount of support that I received when I was a prospective student and felt that it was reflective of the support that I would receive as a student of the Evans School. Additionally, Evans provided me the opportunity to attain the quantitative skills I was looking for while getting to focus on the areas I wanted and develop my management skills.
