The Stuff of Expansive Thinking

Yesterday, during one of the quarterly meetings for all Evans School staff, the group participated in a quick icebreaker activity.  With a partner who isn’t someone they typically work closely with on a day-to-day basis, staff shared their answers to a variety of questions. One of those questions was this: if there weren’t any constraints on our Parrington remodel project (budget, historical designation, UW space policies, and otherwise), what would you love to include in the remodel.  As you can imagine – the responses were varied and entertaining!

As good public policy scholars, you know that constraints are real.  And yet – even so – we still believe that our remodeled building can be the stuff of big and expansive thinking.  Help us make it so!

We’ve set up a webpage to share updates on the move to Condon and the remodel, and are working with ESO to develop a communications and engagement plan to solicit feedback from all members of the Evans community over the next 18 months.  In the future you will also find on the website meeting updates from our project management team meetings and draft floor plans.

Let me know what else you would like to know as we look ahead to our move to Condon and building construction.  Thank you!
