Broadly, she is interested in the take-up and impact of social programs, and in particular, how policy design and implementation shape participation. Prior to enrolling at Evans, Rebecca worked as a Research Scientist at the Evans School Policy Analysis and Research Group (EPAR), University of Washington, managing a portfolio of program evaluations of Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation investments in agriculture in sub-Saharan Africa and India. Rebecca was also previously a Policy Manager at J-PAL at MIT, where she managed two competitive funds for randomized evaluations in agriculture and climate change and led the development of J-PAL’s policy briefs and evidence synthesis.
