The Community Engagement and Leadership Education (CELE) Center, in partnership with the Evans School of Public Policy & Governance, is excited to announce the launch of the Civic Health Scorecard and invites students to complete a Centerpiece Activity. Centerpiece Activities are commitments of 100 or more hours focused on an issue, organization or effort that advances the public good. Students reflect on their experience and connect their civic engagement to their development as UW students and civic leaders. Students who complete a Centerpiece Activity, log their engagement and impact, and submit a reflection can earn a NextGen Civic Leader Badge, recognizing their sustained commitment to civic engagement and public service leadership.
Events
Throughout the academic year, the NextGen Civic Leader Corps hosts, sponsors, and coordinates programming that supports students’ public service leadership, civic engagement, and skill development. Through workshop, panel discussions, and networking events, NextGen helps UW students explore and deepen their commitment to public service.
