"Thomas (Tom) Lindman holds a Bachelor of Arts with dual majors in Geography and
Applied Mathematics & Statistics from Macalester College, and is completing his Master
of Public Policy at the University of California, Berkeley Goldman School of Public Policy
this spring. Tom has research interests in poverty, welfare policy, and education. Tom
has worked as a Senior Data and Evaluation Analyst for the City and County of San
Francisco Department of Children, Youth, and Their Families, where he redesigned the
grant management system, and managed evaluation of grants for programs serving
disconnected and justice system-involved youth. Tom has conducted data analysis for
numerous organizations, including the Brookings Institution, and has published on
educational attainment and on school district financial insolvency."
