    Introduces frameworks from organizational leadership research to provide a foundation for equity-centered leadership in the public sector. Critically examines normative organizational practices and provides foundational concepts about different types of diversity, ethical responsibilities of public leaders, and approaches to cultivating equitable and inclusive leadership practices.

    Examines management and leadership in democratic contexts through the roles of individuals, institutions, and organizations. Explores ethics, governance systems, and organizational practices that shape public and nonprofit work, developing skills to lead teams, implement policy, and align organizational performance with democratic values and public purpose.

    Examines how communities work with governments, businesses, and nonprofits to solve complex problems. Explores ways to assess values trade-offs between profit, people, planet, and purpose.
