Hannah is a concurrent Master’s student in the Department of Environmental & Occupational Health Sciences and the Evans School of Public Policy & Governance. Her research and policy interests include climate change, environmental justice, wildfire smoke implications, air quality monitoring, food system sustainability and safety, and human decision making. She also got her BS in Environmental Health Sciences and a minor in Public Policy from the University of Washington. In Hannah’s free time she enjoys exploring new food places around Seattle, hiking, listening to music, and spending time with others.
What has been your favorite part of being a part of the Evans community?
Making new connections with my peers and finding new areas of interest!
What surprised you most when you started the MPA program?
The diversity in experiences and backgrounds of the members in my cohort.
What advice would you give to someone considering the program? Why did you choose Evans?
I would tell someone that this is a great place to stay curious! There are so many amazing classes and networks to tune into at Evans. The approachability and passion of the instructors was one of my main reasons for choosing Evans.
What has been your favorite class so far, and why?
Microeconomics because the instructor is amazing and it was a topic I had not previously had any experience in.
