Tell us a little about yourself?
My name is Alejandro Schmidt, and I am a third year undergraduate student at Penn State University, where I have secured a full-ride scholarship as a Bunton-Waller Fellow. I am currently working towards a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science with a minor in Public Policy and Leadership Across Sectors. With this foundation, I aim to achieve a career in the public policy sector and work on policies that could improve the lives of other people.
What is your dream job? What kind of impact do you hope to make?
I want to be a United States Senator or member of the House of Representatives so I can introduce, approve, or deny the passing of bills with the intent of working towards economic and social equality. I believe that this position, with the right intentions and actions, would be the most effective in improving the lives of those less fortunate.
Who is your favorite public servant and why?
My favorite public servant is Bernie Sanders because he has maintained a support for policies that aim to improve the lives of all the people.
