Are you a working professional seeking a part-time degree program option?
The Evans School’s part-time MPA track allows students to complete the degree program over three years, with the majority of coursework offered in the late afternoon and evening. The part-time track offers the same rigorous curriculum as the full-time MPA program, with core and elective coursework bridging public policy and public management and many areas of specialization for students to pursue.
Students in the part-time MPA track must fulfill the same degree requirements as full-time MPA students, completing a total of 72 quarter credits. Late afternoon or evening sections (after 4:00 pm) are available to part-time track students for core courses and selected elective course offerings.
The suggested course sequence for part-time track students, over the three year program, is outlined here.
As the majority of students pursuing the part-time track are working professionals, part-time track students are encouraged to work with the Evans School’s Career Development office to request waiving the MPA program’s internship requirement if you have at least two years of recent, relevant professional experience related to the degree and your career goals.
