
Davis Vo
Davis Vo (he/him/his) is an education research and data scientist who examines the conditions that foster improved education access, success, and equity for historically minoritized communities using institution-, state-, and national-level datasets. He has published his research in many reputable avenues, such as from Community College Review, Policy Analysis for California Education (PACE), Wheelhouse: The Center for Community College Leadership and Research at University of California Davis, Latino Politics & Policy Institute (LPPI) at University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), and The Civil Rights Project / Proyecto Derechos Civiles at UCLA.
He is a former recipient of the National Academy of Education / Spencer Foundation dissertation fellowship and a former member of the California Cradle-to-Career Data & Tools Advisory Board. He spent over 15 years in advising, teaching, and research roles across education sectors: in the non-profit sector, as well as the K-12, community college, and public/private university systems.
He holds a B.A. from the University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB), M.Ed. from the University of Southern California (USC) Rossier School of Education, M.S. from the UCLA Department of Statistics & Data Science, and Ph.D. from UCLA’s School of Education & Information Studies (Ed&IS).
