Q: Reflecting back on your IPPHL experience, what is one takeaway, reflection, or moment that you feel proud of?
A: The IPPHL experience has stretched me into a more intentional and confident leader. It gave me the clarity to truly see myself, embrace my strengths and weaknesses, and turn them into tools for influence and impact. I am a better leader today because of this experience.

Q: What skills or lessons from your time in IPPHL are still energizing you and impacting your public health leadership development?
A: One powerful skill I carried forward is the ability to give and receive feedback. I now see feedback as a true gift, and it has transformed how I grow personally and how I support the development of my team.

Q: Can you tell us about where you are with your Policy Project and what your anticipated next steps are?
A: I have developed the project into a full proposal and submitted it for grant funding, which will support a pilot phase and position me to secure additional resources for full implementation.

Q: If you had one piece of advice for future IPPHL fellows, what would it be?
A: Lean fully into the process, be present, be open, and embrace every opportunity. The learning, connections, and self-discovery you gain will shape your leadership far beyond the program.

Q: Do you have any other updates or news you’d like to share with the broader IPPHL community?
A: I am excited to share that I have started a Non-Governmental Organisation called Heliday Africa Foundation, which has already reached over 4,000 students with education on drug abuse, sexual and reproductive health, and academic excellence. I also recently published my first-author paper in International Health on the impact of COVID-19 on the health system resilience to managing the cerebrospinal meningitis outbreak in Ghana and presented the findings at this year’s Ghana Health Service Research Dissemination Forum. Lastly, I also completed a professional development course with the University of Washington on Transforming Your Leadership and Management Skills.
