Evans School Continues Decade-Long Top-Ten Ranking
Dear Evans School Community,
Exciting news from the Evans School: On March 19th, the U.S. News & World Report released its 2019 rankings of the country’s 272 graduate public affairs programs, and named the Evans School #6, tied with the University of California-Berkeley and the University of Georgia. We are proud to have been ranked in the top 10 of all programs for the last decade, and that our School’s national reputation continues to be strong.
Additionally – and what pleases me the most – is that our faculty expertise received national recognition in eight out of NASPAA’s eleven possible academic areas of specialization. This demonstrates our broad strengths across the field. Notably, we are proud to be ranked in the top five for our work in environmental policy (#2), nonprofit management (#4), and public budgeting and finance (#5).
Terrific first-ever rankings for the Evans School include our #15 ranking in local government management and our #19 ranking in urban policy. Also included were rankings of the Evans School’s expertise in public management and leadership (#7), public policy analysis (#11), and social policy (#12). If you’re interested in learning more about the rankings, you can read more here.
While rankings are just one of many ways we track and evaluate our reputation and impact, it is evidence that our School’s work and contributions in the field continue to be recognized and celebrated.
I hope you feel proud, as I do, to be part of this special community. I am grateful every day to work with each of you and with our amazing alumni. Thank you for your dedication to public service and for your contributions to the Evans School.
Sincerely,
Sandra O. Archibald
Dean and Professor
