Dean’s Forum | How Bidenomics Targets Systemic Inequities

October 30 @ 12:00 pm - 1:15 pm

The Dean’s Forum series focuses on the intersection of race and public policy in support of the Evans School of Public Policy & Governance’s mission to host community conversations that inspire public leaders.

Join us on October 30, 2023 at 12:00 p.m. PT for a discussion about how addressing racial inequity underpins “Bidenomics” – the President’s agenda for sustained and equitable economic growth. Dean Jodi Sandfort will host a conversation with Heather Boushey, a member of President Biden‘s Council of Economic Advisers and Chief Economist to the Investing in America Cabinet. Heather is co-founder of the Washington Center for Equitable Growth, where she was President and CEO from 2013 – 2020. She previously served as chief economist for Secretary Clinton‘s 2016 transition team and as an economist for the Center for American Progress, the Joint Economic Committee of the U.S. Congress, the Center for Economic and Policy Research, and the Economic Policy Institute.

This will be a hybrid event, with the option to attend in-person at the UW HUB or via Zoom.
