Looking Ahead at the 2019-2020 Academic Year
Dear colleagues,
I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself and to express my optimism for the year ahead. I am honored and humbled to have been selected for the interim dean position, and I look forward to continuing Dean Archibald’s efforts to sustain and advance the Evans School’s reputation for leadership in public policy and governance.
I joined the Evans School faculty in 1995. My research has largely focused on environmental and human health policy, wildfire risk management, and climate impacts. I have taught courses from Quantitative Analysis to Environmental Policy to Capstone Seminars, and I have also served as the Graduate Program Coordinator and the Associate Dean.
While the School searches for its next permanent leader, I know that – by working together – we will continue to advance our School mission: to support our inspiring students, to further scholarship that addresses critical policy and management challenges in the public and nonprofit sectors, and to advance the field of public leadership.
Once again, I am honored to serve as Interim Dean of our school. I look forward to listening, learning, and carrying forth our shared vision for the Evans School.
Sincerely,
Alison Cullen
Interim Dean and Professor
