Brianna Jackson is a student leader at the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities studying in Sociology of Law, Criminology and Justice and Political Science. She leads with purpose, resilience, and focus on empowering others inspired by leaders who turn adversity into purpose. She aspires to aspire to pursue a career in Public Policy to shape policies that create lasting impacts to amplify voice and build inclusive spaces for generations to come.
What is your dream job? What kind of impact do you hope to make?
I believe that meaningful changes comes from policy and advocacy. My dream job is to be a Government Affairs Director at the federal level in Washington D.C. I hope to leave an impact that lasts throughout generations, that withstands political shifts and benefits all communities over time. I want to ensure that people’s voices are heard and that equitable, proactive policies are made and contribute to a government that creates lasting opportunities and improves quality of life for future generations.
Who is your favorite public servant and why?
Medgar Evers inspires me for his courage as he sacrificed his life to fight for equitable policies and advancement of civil rights.
