Lizzie is a doctoral student and NSF Graduate Research Fellow at the University of Washington Evans School of Public Policy and Governance. She is a mixed-methods researcher studying how urban policies shape economic opportunity for low-income households. Lizzie’s dissertation examines residential displacement in Washington state, with a focus on the role of community-based organizations as policy levers against involuntary moves.
She is also an affiliate with the Poverty and Inequality Lab at Johns Hopkins University, supporting work on the Creating Moves to Opportunity study implemented in Seattle. Prior to UW, Lizzie worked on the Community Development and Policy Studies Team at the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago. She earned degrees in Economics and Computer Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
