At the Evans School, we know there are times in the nation’s history in which public governance is strained and public values are seemingly overlooked. But we also know that individuals and communities can always make a positive difference, taking risks to have difficult conversations, learning how to compromise, demanding ethical public leadership, implementing solutions to pressing social problems. And that is what we are doing. We educate leaders. We generate knowledge, often working with practitioners and policy leaders. We host communities to co-create a more inclusive society. We do these things because we are clear that all benefit from a democratic system that includes and serves everyone.
