Maya enjoys policy because of the intersectionality it has with all other facets of life. She enjoys volunteering as a member of the GSU section of the National Council of Negro Women, and the Student PIRG. She hopes for a career in politics merging data, creativity, and policy.

What is your dream job? What kind of impact do you hope to make?

My dream job is constantly changing as I learn more about policy. However, I would love to be a corporate lobbyist, a political consultant, campaign manager/coordinator, risk manager/ brand strategist for political figures or institutions, a policy researcher, or make the leap from White House press secretary to chief of staff (depending on the administration). I’d also love to be a pollster and feed my creative interests as a blogger, podcaster, or political commentator.

Who is your favorite public servant and why?

Dr. Jasmine Clark is running for U.S. Congress for Georgia’s 13th Congressional District. She is multidisciplinary and isn’t afraid to ask questions.
