Tell us a little about yourself?

Hello! I’m Sebastián. I was born and raised in the Bay Area, and my native language is Spanish. I’m a huge fan of cooking & baking as pastimes with a great reward. I’m most interested in law, civil rights, corporate prosecution and municipal public policy, but always love learning something new.

What is your dream job? What kind of impact do you hope to make?

I’d love to engage in work as a civil rights attorney or director of municipal housing programs. In both jobs, I’d have the opportunity to build something new that helps tangibly improve the lives of countless people. As an attorney, it would be through litigation and defending the basic rights of all inhabitants in the US that are so regularly threatened by public and private entities. In the role of director of municipal housing, I’d be a part of a department intent on reshaping and ultimately improving how a city approaches building and organizing affordable and subsidized housing along with the development of different sorts of shelters that fit different needs at a local level.

Who is your favorite public servant and why?

Lina Khan, she set a new standard for FTC Chairs, holding large corporations accountable during an era where they seldom are.
