Register for Courses

Determine Your Registration Date

Log into the Register.UW with your UW NetID and password. Your registration date and time will be posted about two weeks before registration opens.

Complete the Pre-registration Process

You can either complete preregistration steps about one week before registration or during the registration process. To pre-register:

1. Log into Register.UW.
2. Check to see if you have any holds on your account. All holds must be resolved before you can register.
3. Click Complete Your Pre-Registration Steps Now.
4. You will be prompted to acknowledge mantatory legal acknowledgements, accept or decline optional charges, and confirm your address.

Register

Once your registration period has opened, log into Register.UW. You’ll need the course SLN number to register. Your winter 2026 course SLN is 19835. In spring and summer quarters, you can find your course SLNs in the time schedule.
