Welcome to the Evans School of Public Policy & Governance, a policy partner and leader with an impact that extends throughout the Pacific Northwest and far beyond. Our research and engagement expertise can be seen in practice throughout business, government, and nonprofit organizations, bringing public service values to a greater audience. Our unique teaching approach is designed to educate and inspire leaders to meet society’s most complex challenges with vision, analytic rigor, and intention – all in the direction of equity and justice.
We are committed to anti-racist action at the Evans School, and we are doing the work to dismantle systems of oppression in our own institution and in institutions across the state and country. We believe we have a role to play in bridging widening divides—political, racial, religious, and economic—and we are thinking deeply about a future for civic engagement that values the wisdom and experience of all people and centers innovation, empathy, and collaborative decision-making.
We value and honor diverse experiences and perspectives, strive to create welcoming and respectful learning environments, and promote access, opportunity, and justice for all. We all have a role to play in designing our collective future. I hope you will join us.
